1980s Thierry Mugler Sculptural High-Waisted Skirt size S/M

A rare gem from the original Thierry Mugler ready-to-wear collection, this 1980s skirt is all about controlled drama. Lightweight but fully structured, it’s designed in Mugler’s signature sculptural silhouette—high-waisted with sharp tailoring and a gathered front panel that fastens with a covered button and hidden interior clasp. No zipper. No shortcuts. The tailoring on the back panes of the skirt would leave you speechless.

The skirt falls all the way to the floor with a clean line and no slit, hugging the hips just enough before draping out. It’s made from lightweight seasonless polyester, so it works just as easily with a tank and boots as it does with a blazer and heels. 

This is peak Mugler. Minimal effort. Maximum impact.

This is a vintage size 44, but can fit XS-M. It can also be worn in a multitude of ways - buttons to the side, buttons in the front, even as a strapless dress. It has no noticeable flaws and is in very good condition. It currently retails elsewhere for $500
