Description
This matching Mary McFadden set is a stunner, and brand new WITH tags from the 1980's. The metallic sheen and star zipper pull make this suit stand out in any room, whether you wear it together or as separates. It is meticulously designed with intricate front pleats on the jacket and zipper pulls on each sleeve. It is in pristine condition and shows no signs of wear. Tags are still attached to both items

Jacket: length 23", bust 21", sleeve 22.5"
Skirt: length 23", waist 16"
Please note - this suit does not fit our form, so she is clipped in the back in the front-on photographs and the video. This dress would be most appropriate for a Medium-XL. Sold separately upon request.
Mary McFadden, who was the public relations director for Dior (who paid her in 50 dresses per year), is known for selling hand-painted silk dresses in the 70's and patenting her very own "liquid gold" pleating technique. The Met curator Harold Koda said McFadden was a "design archaeologist."
Her dresses were famously popular with Jackie O, and she was the first female president of the Council of Fashion Designers of American from 1982-1983. She claimed to be married at least 11 times, but claimed some were "only spiritual." The company stopped designing in 2002
